Library

Asp is a dry forest, prone to brush fire and good for camping, with good sun and visibility for most of the year. A great deal of reverence is given to the natural beauty of the island. Deep in forest of Asp is the Moot Library. Although it functions like a library that you and I would be most familiar with, the Moot Library is only able to lend out books to visitors if the visitor will also take out the author for the entire lending time. This was Derk's idea. Derk has been the chief librarian at Moot for longer than anyone can remember. The idea came to her as a way to provide housing for the wayward writers, illustrators, and poets who offer their books to the library, since they were always asking for a place to stay.
